Nurturing Hearts Birth Services was founded in 1997 by Stephanie Soderblom as a way to gather community together to better serve birthing families. Stephanie's journey in the birthing world began as a doula and childbirth educator in 1995, establishing NHBS two years later. Since then she has gone on to become a certified breastfeeding counseler, a doula/childbirth educator trainer, and finally realizing her dream of becoming a licensed midwife in Arizona in 2008.

We believe that the birth of a baby is more than a means to an end, and it's more than just another day in your life. The birth of your baby is the single most important and life-changing day of your life - more than graduating high school, more than graduating college, even more than the day you got married. The day you become a parent is the day that your life is forever transformed, and it's a day you will remember for the rest of your life.
